UX Case Study

Carepath Urgent Care App

Product design developed to provide financial transparency for users seeking urgent health care nearby.

THE CONCEPT

This SAAS company was conceived to solve a problem: when users need urgent care appointments online, they don’t have financial transparency of what cost to expect.

THE GOAL: Carepath seeks to offer nearby locations of providers with concrete costs for medical procedures needed.

THE RESULT: Users can compare prices for the same service at each location giving consumers transparency.

USER RESEARCH

Research focused on competitor analysis to see what was missing in the market as well as user interviews to identify some actionable insights.

USER FLOW

The findings helped create empathy maps and personas to drive the next steps of defining a user flow that represents an ideal, efficient experience.

WIREFRAMES

Paper wireframes led to discoveries that combined features in the Low Fidelity wireframes. The process was refined into a Mid Fidelity prototype now ready for a Moderated Usability Study.

USABILITY FINDINGS

The clean direct approach of functionality for the app worked well but themes of Pain Points surfaced and actionable insights were put into place to alter the design.

HI FIDELITY PROTOTYPE

With implementing Accessibility standards and refining the experience from our usability findings the final prototype is taking shape.

NEXT STEPS

Conduct follow-up usability testing on the new website and review data with CarePath stakeholders.

Ideate any additional areas of need including new features and how the UX can integrate deeper into the health industry and solve problems of transparency.
